What is the Healthy Families Program?
|
The Healthy Families Program is a state and federally funded program to
help children receive health coverage. With the Healthy Families Program,
you will get low-cost comprehensive health coverage for children under
age 19, including:

Doctor visits

Well baby check-ups

Well child check-ups

Dental care
-
Immunizations (shots)
-
Vision care
-
Hospitals you know
-
Pharmacies in your neighborhood

How to qualify?
|
To qualify, children must be:

Newborns through 19th birthday
-
California residents
-
U.S. citizens, nationals or eligible qualified immigrants
-
Not eligible for no-cost Medi-Cal
-
Not covered by employer health insurance within the past 90 days
-
Part of a family that meets the following income guidelines

How to apply?
|
|
Applying for the Healthy Families Program is easy and can be done through
a mail-in application. For the nearest Certified Application Assistant (CAA)
site or to receive an application, call us at 1-800-224-7766.
